Classic Back Garden | Henleaze, Bristol
Green Point Garden Design transformed a small back garden in the heart of Henleaze, creating a serene sitting area centered around a wooden pergola and complemented by a soothing water feature that gently masks nearby traffic noise. This design seamlessly integrates soft planting to enhance tranquility, reflecting our commitment to crafting peaceful outdoor spaces tailored to urban living.

Designed in 2024 for a new-build property in Cheddar, Somerset, this contemporary garden balances clean architectural lines with soft, naturalistic planting to create a stylish, functional and inviting outdoor space.
The brief was to establish a main seating area close to the house, a central lawn as the garden’s focal point, and convenient access to a studio office positioned at the rear of the garden.
Practical storage was carefully concealed behind the garage, allowing the garden to retain a clean, uncluttered appearance.
A carefully selected palette of materials brings character and contrast to the design.
Corten steel planters, contemporary porcelain paving and Dutch clay pavers combine warm, earthy tones with crisp, modern finishes, creating a sophisticated aesthetic with a distinctive architectural edge.
The planting scheme brings softness and seasonal interest to the structured layout. Evergreen structural planting provides year-round form and definition, complemented by mixed herbaceous perennials that introduce colour, texture and movement throughout the growing season.
The result is a thoughtfully designed, contemporary garden that combines practicality with refined detailing, offering a calm and elegant outdoor environment that connects the home, lawn, seating area and studio office into one cohesive landscape.

The brief for the Clifton garden was to preserve the character and heritage of the listed house while creating a practical and timeless outdoor space.
Natural stone paving, with broken lines of setts echoing the original walled garden, provides continuity and texture.
Minimalist, naturalistic planting complements the architectural style, while an oak pergola, with BBQ near and connecting pathway create a functional and inviting space for outdoor living.

Garden with the Slide | Long Ashton, Bristol
This back garden project has been expertly designed to create a relaxing for adults while providing an exciting play area for children. The former brick retaining wall, which acted as a significant barrier, inspired a design that smoothly connects the upper patio with the lower lawn and planting area. The newly added steps establish a visual link, transforming the garden into a unified space. With evergreen plants offering structural support and soft perennials introducing vibrant color and texture, this garden beautifully balances tranquility and fun. The addition of a tube slide with a treehouse on top perfectly fulfills the brief, maximizing the use of the existing height difference between the two areas.

The main path and patio are elegantly laid with porcelain narrow slabs, surrounded by corten retaining walls that frame a sunken patio featuring ornamental laser-cut panels with ambient lighting for a stunning night effect. A medium-sized shed discreetly hides behind the panels, offering ample storage for gardening tools. With a vibrant lawn as a central play area for kids, the garden is enriched evergreen structures and herbaceous plants that add splashes of color, complemented by a striking metal pergola supporting climbing plants. Back Garden | Frampton Cotterell, Bristol

Green Point Garden Design transformed a blank canvas garden in South Gloucestershire into a tranquil oasis with a gracefully curved planting border featuring a variety of plants.
A charming water feature was incorporated, producing calming sounds and offering a resting place for small flying insects, enhanced by lovely water lilies.
In the upper right corner, a sun-drenched seating area beckons for relaxation, while sleek metal edging outlines the lawn and borders with perfect curves.
