Cosmos atrosanguineus 'Chocolate'Common name: chocolate cosmos
Family                        Asteraceae =
                                    Compositae
Height & spread     40cm x 30cm
Soil                            Moderately fertile, moist, well-drained
Aspect                      Full sun
Hardiness                Half hardy
Flowering time        June to September
Care                       Dead head to prolong flowering. In autumn after the foliage has
died back cut the stems to within 5cm of the roots. To minimise
frost damage, protect the tuberous roots by lay in tray of
soil or compost and over-winter in a frost-free environment until
                                early spring
